The province of Colón won the National Senior Women’s Softball Championship

The ninth from Colón, was proclaimed champion of the National Senior Women’s Softball Championship, defeating Chiriquí 16-7, in a duel that took place at the new Escobal Sports Complex on the Costa Abajo.
Before an audience that supported them from day one and sports facilities recently inaugurated by the Panamanian Institute of Sports that allowed for a high-level tournament, the Atlantic Coast team unleashed its strong offensive with 17 hits to defeat the Chirican troops.
Marta Corpas won the match and Doris Mojica lost.
The best hitters of the Colón team: Isaura Velásquez and Angelmina Arrocha from 4-3 and Alba Salazar from 3-3. For Chiriquí, Valeska Domínguez stands out from 4-3, Cibelis Cedeño and Graciela Flores from 2-2.
In the game for third place, the Los Santos team defeated Panama Metro 7-5.
The Most Valuable player of the 2023 National Senior Women’s Softball Championship was Velkis Zamora from Santeña, who also finished batting champion, connected doubles, runs scored and defensively was the best shortstop.
