India and Cuba evaluate projects to develop 5G and 6G technologies

Representatives of the Ministries of Communications of India and Cuba explored the opportunities for cooperation in training and training for the deployment of infrastructure in rural areas, as well as science and innovation projects to develop 5G and 6G technologies, according to report of Latin Press.

Grisel Reyes, Cuban Vice Minister of Communications, and Shri K. Rajaraman, Chairman of the Digital Communications Commission and Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications of India, addressed these issues during a meeting in New Delhi.

These issues will be included in a collaboration agreement that both countries plan to sign, according to statements to Prensa Latina by the Cuban official, who is in India leading a group of specialists.

The information itself specifies that during the past week, India and Cuba reached an agreement for collaboration in the field of digital transformation after the meeting of the secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Alkesh Kumar Sharma, and the vice minister Grisel Reyes.

The representatives of both nations seek to share open source platforms to implement government services, training projects and training in emerging technologies, as well as the creation of a high-performance computing center, among other initiatives, Reyes assured Prensa Latina.

Similarly, the Cuban deputy head of the Ministry of Communications highlighted the possibilities of joint work between companies from India and Cuba in order to enter the Latin American technology market, during a forum in New Delhi led by the Economic Trade Organization of the Asian country at the local headquarters of the Federation of Exporters.

According to Prensa Latina, the Antillean delegation also participated in the Indiasoft 2023 international exhibition and conference of information and communication technologies, the largest technological event in India. In addition, they held a meeting with the board of directors of the National Association of Software and Services Companies of India.
