He Ministry of Health and Social Protection declared that, after filing the paper on the health reform, the bill is now ready to be debated in the Congress of the Republic.
Among some novelties are the mechanisms, are the creation of a financial risk management system that prevents excessive spending, in order to optimize investments focused on the provision of health services to users.

“This is a project that puts its finger on the sore spot of the problems that
prevent millions of Colombians from having decent health care and
timely,” the ministry said.
The text of the presentation, fundamental in resolving the health problems of citizens who cannot access the health system organically, has included several proposals raised in meetings with various political sectors, including the Liberal parties, Conservative and of the U.

In the same way, the presentation, as the Ministry explains, includes several recommendations from various organizations of society, unions of the sector and workers, in order to guarantee access to services, medicines, and treatments.

Among the points highlighted by the Ministry in the presentation are: the restructuring of the health social security systemthe creation of National Health Councilthe prohibition of refusal to provide health services, the creation of State Health Institutionsthe Primary Health Care Centersthe general model of the health system that the project seeks, the rescue of the country’s hospitals and the regulation of the drug price.
