A cell associated with the criminal organization founded by Carlos Enrique Gómez Rodríguez (El Conejo), held an armed confrontation with agents of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and in which one of the criminals was killed, according to security sources.
The scuffle took place in the Monte Oscuro sector, bordering Aragua and La Guaira, where El Conejo owned a property that served as his base of operations. Agents attached to the Strategic and Tactical Directorate (Daet) of the PNB arrived at the site and executed a saturation device.
Renny Enrique Bandes Durán, alias El Indiecito, was killed at the site. After the procedure, the uniformed officers seized a high-caliber 5.56 Extar weapon.
El Conejo was killed last Thursday in Cerro Colorado, Irapa (Sucre), after having traveled by sea from Chuao (Aragua), according to witnesses of the operation.
Another procedure against the cells of El Conejo was carried out by the PNB in the La Cipa sector, Santa Rita parish, Ezequiel Zamora Municipality (Villa de Cura), Aragua state, where they killed a subject nicknamed Moisés Carrozalera, a member of the El Asdrúbal gang.
At the scene, the Daet agents seized a firearm and 36 marijuana panels with an approximate gross weight of 17 kilograms. The Public Ministry was informed of both proceedings.
