The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation received a disciplinary complaint against the Minister (e) of Culture, Jorge Ignacio Zorro, for alleged misconduct having irregularly appointed an official within that same portfolio.
With the foregoing, according to this complaint, the Minister of Culture he would have committed “alleged irregularities in administrative decisions” by delegating his functions in force at that time to another official.

It is about the appointment of Estaban Zabala as manager of the Vice Ministry of Creativity and the Orange Economy which at the time was led by Zorro. In other words, the current minister in charge transferred his primary functions to another person
These events occurred at the beginning of March, when President Gustavo Petro appointed Zorro as head of the Culture portfolio before the departure of Patricia Ariza.

However, the presidential decree, signed on March 6, indicates that Jorge Ignacio Zorro should assume the task “without separating from the functions of his position as Vice Minister of Creativity and the Orange Economy” of which he is still the owner.

Consequently, the citizen filing this complaint requests that the minister in charge be sanctioned and dismissed.
