Through a joint operation carried out by inspectors from the Chiriquí regional headquarters of the National Migration Service, and units from the Fourth Police Zone in the province, a total of 85 people in irregular migration conditions were captured.
The operation was carried out in different points and public spaces in the city of David, also having the coordination of the Field Action Migration Unit (UMAC).
As a result of the operation, 85 migrants (29 men, 27 women and 29 minors) were recruited, all in irregular migration status, also being a high percentage of Venezuelan nationality.
Once the recruitment was done, these people were transferred to the border area with Costa Rica, in the Paso Canoas sector, so that they can continue their transit to Central America.
