At least five injured, mostly students, was the result of a car accident reported this Tuesday from Baracoa, Guantanamo.
The incident occurred when a Kamaz brand vehicle, belonging to the School Transport Company in Baracoa, overturned at the stroke of noon. As a result, five people were injured, four of them with mild multiple injuries, according to a report published by Radio Baracoa from Facebook.
The vehicle was transporting pre-university students, the Pedagogical School and Technical-Professional Education to their study centers in San Luis and Jamal. After the first collection point, it rushed down the right side of the road, the report says.
The accident occurred on the Baracoa Moa highway, in the town of Recreo de Nibujón, 35 kilometers from Baracoa.
Those involved received first aid at the Santa María Family Medical Office and after pertinent examinations, by virtue of what was established, four students were sent to the Baracoa hospital, three of them with multiple bruises.
A teacher and a mother were also sent to the hospital. At the close of this information, from Radio Baracoa’s Facebook profile it was reported that three of the injured students were discharged.
