The member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) congratulated the people and Government of Cuba for the democratic electoral day held this Sunday, March 26.
The information was released in a statement from the bloc, where they highlighted that the election of the highest body of state power on the Caribbean island reflects “a clear message to the international community of the maturity and continuity of the Cuban Revolution and its beginning”.
The alliance reaffirmed to the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, the support and solidarity for the Cuban Revolution, as well as wished the greatest success in this new legislative period.
On national electoral day, six million 164 thousand 876 Cubans exercised their right to vote, which represents 75.92% of the electoral roll.
