Two deputy penitentiary ministers appointed

Vice President Delcy Rodríguez appointed two new vice-ministers of the Ministry for the Penitentiary Service, according to a decree published in the Official Gazette 42,596.

One of those appointed is Kévin Daniel Ávila Castro, who will occupy the vice-ministry for Attention to the Deprived of Liberty, according to Decree No. 4,793 published in the aforementioned Official Gazette.

Ávila Castro replaces Yajure Gil, who had been holding the aforementioned position since April 2022.

The other designated official is the division general (Bolivarian National Guard), Giuseppe Cacioppo Oliveri, as the new Vice Minister of Educational Training and Social Affairs, a position that was held by Maripili Viera.

Vice President Delcy Rodríguez delegated to the Minister of Penitentiary Service, Celsa Bautista, the swearing in of Ávila and Casioppo.
