The president of Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), Armin Dorgathen, revealed this Saturday, in the program ¡Qué Semana! from EL DEBER Radio, which The state company will invest in the Vaca Muerta megafieldlocated in the Argentine province of Neuquén, with the objective of producing natural gas and crude oil for the country.

“We are putting together the project, we still do not have all the numbers (investment), but the objective is to do it as soon as possible, we are already working on it and we have had several meetings with different operators that are there, with various companies, we have spoken with the people who are in charge of the pipelines. It is something that we are going to do very soon,” he announced. Dorgathen the morning of this day in an exclusive interview with EL DEBER.

He stated that the first step is to invest Vaca Muerta in areas where they already have safe production, then make the purchase of crude oil and; subsequently, invest in producing the crude oil itself.

Vaca Muerta is a geological formation which extends for 30,000 square kilometers, in the Argentine province of Neuquén, also reaching Mendoza and Río Negro.
