The buses donated by the Japanese government for public transportation in Havana are already circulating. Very soon the routes to the east of the city will be covered by these new vehicles.
In Cojímar, this weekend, some passengers were surprised by the improvement in service. At one of the stops on the A58 a lady rejoiced:
-New bus runs well! The stirrup is a little high, but you don’t look at the tusk of a gift horse.
Let’s see if people take care of them. Right now you will see how the students fill them with markers with markers -said another lady.
-I’m going to make whoever catches me wash the walls with soap and water. Did you hear me right? -and she pointed to a group of teenagers who were also waiting for the bus.
The boys nodded as if they were responding to a stern elementary school teacher.
