Rey Ruiz is back with “Insuperable”, an album with a Big Band touch

Miami, March 24 (Notistarz).- Cuban salsa singer Rey Ruiz is back with the premiere of “Insuperable”, an innovative album with a Big Band touch to some of the best popular music classics of all time from Argentina, France, Cuba, Mexico, Spain and the United States.

The artist wishes that with his new album – number 17 of his career – the new generations will fall in love with this proposal, with themes that he chose to revive from the catalog of world popular music.

Songs like “Noche de Ronda” by Agustín Lara, “El amor es libre” by Ricardo Ceratto (Argentina), “Corazón Corazón” by José Alfredo Jiménez (Mexico) and even “Smile” by Nat “King” Cole (United States). They are part of this production.

For the Grammy-winning Cuban singer-songwriter, “Insuperable” is a passionate musical project and it is one of his biggest dreams in life because he always imagined recording a Big Band album.

The Cuban -world salsa icon- is an admirer of artists such as Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé, who have had this international format in their proposal, maintaining its relevance over the years.

Building on these influences, Ruiz channels the magic of the Big Bands era on “Insuperable” while combining jazz and other world music genres with his own particular sound and style, delivering unprecedented arrangements that grace the music. tropical.

The album was produced by Rey Ruiz, together with the teacher, producer, arranger and trumpeter José Aguirre, and mixed and mastered by the renowned engineer Humberto Gatica.
