MOP continues with road rehabilitation in the capital city

The director of Maintenance of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), Zacarias Álvarez, referred to the rehabilitation projects that are being carried out in different parts of the capital city that are being carried out at night.

According to Álvarez, at the moment they are carrying out road rehabilitations mainly in areas such as Calidonia, Justo Arosemena, Avenida Cuba, Avenida Cuba, Avenida Centra, Avenida Balboa and we are starting on Eusebio Morales street, José Agustín Arango street and Belén street in Tocumen, a total of about 20 kilometers that are being rehabilitated at night.

Regarding the rehabilitation projects of the vehicular bridges, Álvarez commented that some have already begun «We already started with the bridge on November 3, the viaduct and now what is coming is the bridge of Paitilla and San Miguelito, and the company that it was awarded, it is doing all the logistics to be able to start execution, some pieces need to arrive from abroad, in a month we could be doing night work on the San Miguelito bridge, closing it creates a lot of discomfort since it is very busy and you have to doing tile work and trying to inconvenience the public as little as possible.”
