Seven alleged members of the Mexican Sinaloa cartel were captured by the Police, these people, apparently, would be dabbling in the production and sale of fentanyl in Colombia.
The Dijín of the National Police reported that the arrests of these men were carried out jointly with the Colombian authorities, Greece and Guatemala.
Upon learning of this operational result of the Police, President Gustavo Petro on his Twitter account highlighted the capture of these people who he said were trying to produce fentanyl, ‘worst of the worst’.
The Dijín of the National Police reported that through cooperation and exchange of information with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) of the United States, the arrests of these people became effective.
It also revealed that thes captures were made in order to comply with extradition orders issued by the Government of the United States, mainly for crimes of drug trafficking and money laundering.
The authorities established thatThe intentions of this illegal organization were to venture into the export and sale of the substance fentanyl to the United States.

The detainees used digital applications such as handling cryptocurrencies for money laundering, making transfers to electronic wallets and later withdrawing the money in cash to continue with the chain of money laundering.
Other crimes charged by the United States authorities are cconspiracy to import into the United States, 400 grams and more, of mixtures and substances containing a detectable amount of fentanyl.
Likewise, they are processed by ppossession of machine guns and destructive devices and the conspiracy to commit money laundering.
