The dismissal will be carried out by the Constitution and Codes Commission of the Senate, announced the morning newspaper El País.
The capital newspaper points out that “unanimously the process will begin that will lead to the dismissal of an entire family nucleus that has long generated concern at the political level in the department of Colonia.”
While Alfredo Sánchez, his sons and daughter-in-law were mayor, they were denounced for illegal operations in the municipality of Florencio Sánchez, with resources from the Municipality of Colonia, which did not carry out the proper controls. Former mayor Sánchez was prosecuted with two years in prison and one with probation.
