“Once again, this report is published to attack sovereign countries, whose decisions are not made with the consent of Washington, while the United States, internally, fails to contain the growing poverty, fails to mitigate the brutality of police racism institutionalized, fails to abandon arbitrary measures of deprivation of liberty of undocumented migrants and does not stop applying illegal and unilateral coercive measures against at least 30% of the world population,” said the Government through a statement published by the Foreign Ministry in its Web page.

In the statement, he stressed that the United States 20 years ago undertook “one of the most brutal invasions in the history of humanity against the Iraqi people, causing hundreds of thousands of deaths, implementing torture methods and using weapons of war against civilians.”

«The Bolivarian Government, despite the permanent aggressions of the United States and its accomplices, continues to defend the economic, political and social rights of the entire population and will continue to comply with its multilateral commitments to guarantee a dignified life for all its citizens. ».

The Maduro government has openly supported nations and governments accused of human rights violations, including Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, and the Russian government.
