The blockade led by motorcycle taxi drivers of the municipality of Warnes continues to be fulfilled at the end of the afternoon of this Monday, leaving the route that connects Santa Cruz with the department of Cochabamba cut off.
The measure is carried out from early hours this Monday March 20 indefinitelyin demand for a petition that is addressed to the Warnes Mayor’s Office and the Santa Cruz Governor’s Office.
Swith at least four points of forceful blocks that are installed on the route that connects Chané, Warnes and Montero, with the massive presence of different unions of two-wheeled vehicle drivers.
Rafael Vargas, representative of the motorcycle taxi drivers, informed this journalistic house that during the day there was an approach by the mayor of Warnes, Carlos Montaño, to hear their demands. However, he said that they are waiting for can be summoned and sit at a dialogue table, in order to reach a solution.
“We are going to radicalize the measures with more force if we are not attended to, because it is not a request for only one sector, but for the entire town of Warnes,” said Vargas.
The blockade in the Integrated North it has left a column of high-tonnage trucks and private vehicles stranded on the highway.
In the place it was also observed una ‘stain’ of people on the road. Some who arrived from the interior of the country, but due to the road block they had to walk several kilometers with suitcases in hand to be able to transfer and thus reach the capital of Santa Cruz.
The same situation exists from the another group of people heading to the Cochabamba tropics.
The document issued by the sector on February 24 consists of 15 points:
1. Completion of the Piraí avenue bridge
2. Completion of Santa Rosita avenue with its division
3. Connection of Santa Rosita avenue with Viru Viru avenue, intersection of 25 de Mayo avenue.
4. Public lighting in all the streets of the municipality of Warnes.
5. Change of the asphalt layer of 25 de Mayo avenue
6. Change of the asphalt layer of the eastern ring road
7. Signage in all streets and avenues
8. Forensic doctor and its respective infrastructure
9. Completion of the north highway viaduct, PIL area.
10. Construction of speed bumps and/or cat eyes.
11. Placement of traffic lights at the Las Barreras – Juan Latino intersection.
12. Maintenance of streets that do not have paving
13. Sewer connection
14. Construction of a fixed office for Segip and Segelic
