On the morning of this Monday, March 20, the current rector of the Autonomous University of Chiriquí, Etelvina Medianero de Bonagas, ran for office for a third consecutive term.
UNACHI currently started the applications for the election of rector in the period 2023 – 2028 and interested persons may apply until next Wednesday, March 22 according to the election calendar.
“Today I feel extremely excited about this application when I see so many university families, teachers, administrators, and students,” Bonagas said in her application.
After almost 10 years in office and after several scandals during his administration, Bonagas aspires to continue for 5 more years at the head of the Autonomous University of Chiriquí.
