[Video] Mining strike: six vehicles burned on the roads of Antioquia "Peaceful protest?"

The mining strike has caused enormous anxiety in the municipalities of Bajo Cauca Antioqueño. The miners’ protests They began on March 2 and have lasted for 15 days, causing shortages of food, medicine and home gas. This has generated a humanitarian crisis.

In the last few hours, the pro-unemployment leaders called on all the miners in the country to mobilize nationally and declare permanent assemblies. This is because the union and the national government have not reached any agreement.

However, within the framework of the protests there have been acts of vandalism such as the burning of tolls, vehicles and even ambulances.

For this reason, since last Tuesday, the authorities began to carry out the humanitarian caravans to accompany the transit of cargo and passenger vehicles to prevent the burning of automobiles from being recorded again in the midst of the protests, which they say are infiltrated by the Clan del Golfo.

Despite these caravans, the acts of vandalism did not stop. This Sunday the governor of Antiquia, Anibal Gaviria, He denounced that the demonstrators burned six vehicles on the road that connects Valdivia and Caucasia and questioned whether that is what they call “peaceful protest.”

“Incineration of 6 vehicles in the western trunk, between Valdivia and Caucasia, and the harassment of public force units with rifles. Peaceful Protest??” Gaviria wrote when sharing several videos of the situation.
