Vía Bogotá – Girardot is closed due to a landslide in La Nariz del Diablo

Due to the fall of rocks and plant material, the passage through the sector of the Devil’s Nose, in the Bogotá – Girardot road, this closed.

The concessionaire Vía 40 Express, which manages that road, reported that the landslide caused the total closure of the road.

“Total closure of the Bogota – Girardot direction road was recorded in the La Nariz del Diablo sector at km 38 due to falling rocks and material. Concession units attending to the emergency“, assured Via 40 Express on Twitter.

The emergency is due to heavy rain that have fallen in the area in recent days.

For the movement of cars, according to Via 40 Express, “users travel with stop and go through the Sumapaz tunnel towards each direction of the road“.
