The National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) issued an alert this Friday, March 17, where it prohibits the departure of fishing, recreational and sports vessels in the state of Anzoátegui, specifically in the bays of Barcelona and Pozuelos.
In a statement published on social networks, INEA explained that the sailing restriction will be in force from this Friday until Monday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m., due to the weather conditions that will be recorded in that area.
Sailing in the areas of Barcelona, Lechería, Puerto la Cruz, El Morro and Guanta are prohibited. The Institute does not rule out extending this order if conditions do not change on that date.

According to the information released by the INEA, strong winds and waves from 1.8 meters to two meters are expected to be recorded over the weekend, with intervals of even waves of 2.5 meters in height. This is due to two areas of low pressure in the Caribbean Sea that will especially affect the coasts of Anzoátegui.
