Yeison Jiménez opened his heart and confessed that he had to steal to eat

Yeison Jimenez He has stood out as one of the most important popular music singers in Colombia. Well, his great successes have been sounded, that also resounded in countries like Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Spain, among others.

However, Yeison Jiménez’s career has implied a lot of sacrifice, since it is no secret to anyone that before taking a leap to the success he has today thanks to his voice, the singer stood out as a cotero and avocado seller in Corabastos, the largest market square in Colombia.

From there, he started saving to fulfill his dream of being a great singer. However, in a recent interview With Semana magazine, Jiménez opened his heart even more and made confessions that nobody imagined.

The author of songs like “I neither have nor need”, “No longer my love”, “Long live the rampage”among others, asserted that in adolescence he had serious problems with alcohol, and even something unimaginable, since he came to steal in the streets.

“At the age of 19 I felt caught. He was a cool drunk because he always kept money. In addition to the fact that he worked, he also stole, so he supported himself with money. He was very young, but he always had money in his pocket,” said Yeison.

Subsequently, he mentioned the reasons why he committed this type of crime, and it was there that he uncovered the harsh reality that he lived because “I came home and my mother I owed three months’ rent, there was no refrigerator, television, or gas, and that makes me angry. But he wasn’t the crazy guy who went out to steal just because. I said ‘well, today I’m going to bring some chicks for the house, etc.’”.

Fortunately, the artist was able to turn his life 180° and thanks to work and perseverance, he put aside many vices and was able to help his family get aheadthanks to his unmatched talent.
