Marcelo Broli, interim coach of Uruguay, summoned the Olimpia goalkeeper, Gastón Olveira, to integrate the senior team for the friendlies with South Korea and Japan.
Olveira repeats the call after being left out of the final list of the 2022 World Cupthen Uruguay under the direction of Diego Alonso.
In this sense, Marcelo Broli included the Olimpia player in his batch of goalkeepers for the friendlies he will play against South Korea on March 24 and against Japan four days later.

Without the historical Luis Suárez, Edinson Cavani, Diego Godín and José María Giménez, the Real Madrid midfielder, Federico Valverde, and the Barcelona defender, Ronald Araújo, will be two of those in charge of leading a squad in which there will be several rookiessuch as defender Joaquín Piquerez, midfielder Felipe Carballo and striker Matías Arezo.
