Police "loot" the home of farmer Freddy Navas, released from political prison and exiled

The Police of the dictatorship of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo looted the house of the peasant leader Freddy Navas, released from political prison and exiled to the United States, denounced the Peasant Movement on its social networks.

The house is located in the Villa Libertad neighborhood, in the city of Managua. It is the same house from which he was kidnapped in 2021 when he was accused of alleged crimes of treason against the homeland, alleged undermining of national integrity and propagation of false news.

“Right now the Sandinista Police are looting the home of our peasant leader, Freddy Navas. The Peasant Movement emphatically condemns this assault,” the organization said on its Twitter account.

The Peasant Movement denounced that this action by the dictatorship is “an injustice and one more crime committed by the Sandinista regime against our peasant leaders.”

“The Sandinista sheep are at this moment looting the house of Don Freddy Navas, in Managua. Sandinismo doing the only thing it knows how to do: steal, murder, imprison, etc., “wrote the peasant leader Kenia Gutiérrez on her social network profile.

The organization expressed its solidarity with the family of the peasant leader, Freddy Navas, in what they considered “such difficult times.” “Soon, by the work of God, we will have a democratic country where justice will reign,” they said in another tweet.

Navas is part of the group of 222 political prisoners exiled to the United States on February 9. Nicaraguan nationality was taken from him and the other released prisoners that same day by order of the dictatorship of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo.
