A tanker truck carrying fuel had an accident near the community of Nata in the province of Coclé, near the Mariano Prado school, the event occurred when the vehicle collided with a tree and a post, igniting its load.
Due to this fact, the road in both directions was closed to proceed with the work to extinguish the flames, where the units from the Natá and Aguadulce stations came to secure the area and control the fire.
This event occurred at approximately 4:40 in the morning towards the interior of the country and it was reported that both the driver and his assistant were unharmed in the accident.
Lieutenant Colonel Angel Delgado explained that in coordination with the Traffic Directorate, a lane inversion will be carried out so that vehicles can travel, while the other lanes remain closed to carry out investigations and clean the place, the road could be fully open around 10 in the morning, Delgado reported.
