Santo Domingo.-The director of the Social Assistance Plan of the PresidencyYadira Henríquez specified this Wednesday that during her administration, the vulnerable population has been assisted three and a half times more than what was achieved by the previous administration, emphasizing that they have done so with five billion pesos less in the budget.
“We have given three and a half times more than what was given before with 5 billion pesos more than us, the facts are there,” he said. henriquez.
He indicated that in 2020 the budget was 6,842 million pesos, while by 2021, his management began to receive an amount of 2,199 million for the same purpose. The amount for this year for the Social Assistance Plan budget is 3.275 million, he said.
He argued that, to date, 6,668,757 food rations have been delivered, 289,608 liters of milk, as well as equipping 133,816 homes with household items and roofs.
The head of the entity assessed the quality of the food products that are delivered in the rations, which were determined under the recommendations of nutritionists and qualified doctors.

“I challenge anyone to make me a comparison of the quality of the basic family basket products that the rations we distribute carry,” he said, detailing that these rations contain no less than eight products, which include: rice, oil , coffee, pasta, cereal, sugar, sardines and milk.
In another order, he added that some 37,157 patients have been treated at the Primary Care Center that operates at the entity’s headquarters, which was found out of service and after being enabled, it began operating at the end of 2022.
