This March 16 will begin the dismantling of the pedestrian bridge in “La Pesa”

Starting at 9:00 p.m. this Thursday, March 16, the company Grupo Puentes Infraestructuras SLU. Panama Branch, contractor of the project: “Expansion to six (6) Lanes – Corredor de las Playas, section (1) Chorrera-Santa Cruz”, province of Panama Oeste, will carry out the disassembly of the pedestrian bridge, located in the known sector as “The Weight”.

According to the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), the works will be done at night starting at 9:00 pm. on Thursday, March 16, until 4:00 am. of March 17.

The disassembly of this pedestrian bridge is due to the work carried out in the central section where the structures of the six (6) lane viaduct are developed, which is currently under construction.

As a replacement for the clearing of this structure, a provisional metallic pedestrian walkway has been built, about ten (10) meters towards the center of La Chorrera, where the necessary preventive signs for motorists and pedestrians will be located and there will be personnel trained by the company and the support of units of the Transit and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT) during the duration of the operation.

The Mop apologized to the residents of the township of Guadalupe, district of La Chorrera and drivers for the inconvenience caused by this structural change, it may cause as it is necessary for the continuity of the project, which will benefit thousands of local residents and the interior of the country.
