San Juan (EFE).- A passenger who was traveling on a flight from the island of San Martín to Miami, Florida (USA) died this Tuesday due to respiratory problems upon arriving in an emergency landing at San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport.
According to local authorities, a call at 4:37 p.m. local time (20:37 GMT) alerted the Police to a plane of the American Airlines airline with 148 passengers, which had to make an emergency landing in San Juan, due to the fact that a woman on board had respiratory problems.
The victim, who has not been identified, died at the scene.
This case was referred to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police of Puerto Rico in Carolina, a municipality near San Juan, together with the prosecutor on duty who will take charge of the investigation. EFE
