Military personnel seized 1,260 cartridges that were transported by a cell that works with the negative leaders of the Trujillo Judicial Confinement Center, according to military sources.
The operation was carried out by agents attached to the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) in the El Tabor sector, Pampán municipality, Trujillo state, in response to complaint No. GNB-CONAS-GAES-N°52-ANZ-UIC-ANACO-SIP 017-2023, for the crime of robbery.
At the site, the military seized the 1,260 5.56×45 mm caliber cartridges, which fit in rifles and machine guns. The material was transported in a blue Cherokee Sport Wagon truck, license plate AA830AW.
In this procedure, the occupants of the vehicles identified as Kerlin Nakari Rojas Vázquez, José Elías Marín, Walter Alexis Castellano Quevedo, Moisés António Segovia and Obdalis Coromoto Montaña de Segovia, members of the criminal group El Loro, which is directed from the Judicial Confinement Center, were detained. of Trujillo and is linked to the crimes of extortion, kidnapping, fraud, vaccine collection, drug trafficking, arms trafficking, ammunition and homicide, according to investigations.
Another proceeding against violent groups occurred in the Río Chiquito Arriba sector, Mariño municipality (Irapa), Sucre state, where the military detained Feliz Manuel Carreño Martínez, from whom they seized a 12-gauge shotgun, with no visible brand or serial number, twelve cartridges 7.62X51 mm caliber for rifles and one hundred liters of gasoline type fuel.
The detainee is a member of the criminal organization Tren de Mariño, dedicated to robbery and theft of equipment used in fishing operations.
