Why do we say this?
1. Not all the contingencies that a person faces throughout his life are contemplated, it does not include care policies.
2. The retirement age is increased to 65 years, particularly affecting women who have interrupted employment trajectories, lower income generated by the inequality of the labor market.
3. Reduce retirement amounts. The best 25 years of contributions will be taken, modifying the 10 years that are currently calculated, decreasing the amount to be collected.
4. It incorporates the additional fictitious computation by children for mothers of children born alive or adopted, minors with severe disabilities.
They duplicate the tax to divide it between the two parents but without specifying how the years of calculation will be divided between the couple and it does not recognize this tax for cases of children with common disabilities.
5. Death pensions (widowhood), requires a minimum of 3 years of marriage, unless there are children. It proposes a progressive decrease in the amount of income for widows, which today is 215,000 pesos and is intended to drop to 150,000 pesos or to access a widow’s pension.

Pensions for women will be of much less value than they are now.
The most vulnerable Uruguayans and Uruguayans will be affected the most.
The financing will come from the pockets of the workers.
Most women will not reach the years of necessary contributions considering unpaid work added to family care time.
As an example, a rural employer with 600 hectares will contribute less than an independent working woman.
Widowed women before age 45 will be covered for one year only.
