33% believe that the country’s economic situation is bad while 28% think it is good

28% of Uruguayans consider that the country’s economic situation is good or very good while 33% consider it bad or very bad, says a new survey by Equipos Consultores.

Total, 3% consider it very good while 25% consider it good. 27% consider it bad while 6% see it as very bad.

On the other hand, the consultant also asked the respondents about how the economic situation of the country will be in a year. Then, 36% believe it will be better or much betterwhile 25% believe it will be worse or much worse. For his part, 35% consider that it will be the same.

Personal income and unemployment

Regarding the personal income of the respondents, 63% believe that their income will be maintained while 28% believe that they will increase. for his part 9% believe they will decrease.

On the unemployment side,43% believe that there will be the same levels of unemploymenthe 31% believe there will be higher levels while 22% believe that there will be minors.

Price expectation

Regarding prices, the 63% believe that prices will increase in the next 12 months. Within that 63%, 36% consider that they will increase a lot and 27% a lot. On the other hand 30% believe that prices will increase little while el 2% believe that they will not rise and will remain at current values.

The survey was conducted in person and by telephone between February 16 and 26, 2023. A total of 1,205 people were surveyed.
