Tuya will reduce the interest rate for clients with Éxito cards

The financing company Tuya, an entity that has more than 2.4 million clients in the country, of which more than 1 million of them have incomes of less than two current legal monthly minimum wages, reported that it will implement a relief package financial, discounts for purchases in the market category in Éxito stores and an interest rate reduction that will apply as of this Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

The package contemplates three financial reliefs for the clients of the Éxito Card that consist of:

1. It will offer the possibility for customers with a balance to reduce the value of their payment monthly, extending the term of the current debt up to 60 months and guaranteeing rates well below the current maximum rate allowed. For this, clients will have at their disposal the physical and telephone service channels where they will find all the advice.

2. Tuya will strengthen the strategy of discounts and other benefits in the market categories inside Éxito stores, which will favor access to essential products for nearly 1.5 million Éxito Card customers.

3. It will decrease the interest rate to 25%for new purchases made as of March 15 of this year, for customers of the Éxito Básica Mastercard that have quotas of up to $1 million pesos.

This measure could benefit about 40% of the customers of the Éxito Card. Customers will be able to enjoy this new rate automatically and it applies to all national and international purchases.

According to Carlos Iván Villegas, president of Tuya, “We have made the decision to implement this package of financial relief and interest rate reductions with the financial well-being and quality of life of our clients as a priority. A large part of the population that we serve in Tuya responds to the company’s commitment to financial inclusion, in fact, 44% of all our clients have incomes of less than two current legal monthly minimum wages, whom we want to continue accompanying with relief that favors your financial well-being. In recent years, Tuya has opened the door to the formal financial system for more than 1.5 million customers and it is a commitment for which we will continue to work”.
