The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, announced on Monday the opening of a peace process with the part of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) that did not join the 2016 agreement because that guerrilla group was dissolved.

“A second peace process begins. A table will be established between the government and the Central General Staff,” Petro reported on his Twitter account after the Colombian Attorney General’s Office suspended the arrest warrants for 19 members of the FARC dissidents.
