National District. “I did not come to speak nicely to you, because as a country man, I came to speak clearly to you”, were the words with which the presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) Abel Martínez, began the meeting with the leadership of Circumscription 1 of the National District.
Martínez said that in this territory there are no excuses for not being successful, considering the leadership that groups this demarcation, “the strongest leadership that any party can have.”
“This is the moment for us to conquer the National District, to rescue it because, not only is the work of the PLD government at stake, it is the survival of the Dominican people, which is threatened by a government that should be given shame to knock on the doors of houses to ask for the vote, including the doors of good-hearted perremeistas who were also deceived,” Abel said.
Martínez highlighted that the majority of those present at the activity “were trained in the principles of Prof. Juan Bosch and that training is so great that when we heard his name we stopped full of emotion and told him: the best way to honor Bosch, it is by winning the 2024 elections”.
“The PLD has dignity and we should feel proud because the entire country, including the National District, is full of the works carried out by our party from their governments, works that in another PRM government will be erased, as our Dominican identity will be erased, because it is a government that is against everything, that does not care about the poor, or the middle class, or the working man and woman,” he said.

The PLD Presidential Candidate assured that the way to combat a bad government like the current one is to work together and in harmony, because “I see a great opportunity and today we are taking the first plunge, we are entering the National District and Greater Santo Domingo from where we will never leave until we conquer and rescue it; until victory belongs to the PLD and all Dominicans”.

“Let’s give space to whoever wants to work, to whoever wants to contribute, because there is hope. In the PLD there is renewal and integration and we are in a very special situation where the experience is being unified with this renewal that we have injected into our party and if we manage to compact experience and renewal, we are unbeatable”, guaranteed Abel Martínez, during a lunch held at the Club Los Prados facilities, in the presence of the entire party leadership and new leaders who are joining the effort for the candidacy of Abel Martínez for the 2024 presidential elections.
