Mayor of Panama denounces scammers who pose as municipal inspectors

The Mayor’s Office of Panama denounced a group of individuals who pose as municipal inspectors to ask for money and defraud citizens. The information shared by the official page of the entity details that the impostors do not carry the corresponding identifications.

“We remind citizens that all our officials must carry their identification card in a visible way,” the municipal entity detailed.

They added that, in case of having any questions or information regarding this group, it is important to call the corresponding security numbers.

Municipal inspectors have the function of verifying that citizens comply with the provisions contained in municipal regulations.
