Súmate demands the CNE guarantee the right to vote for Venezuelans

From its social networks, the Súmate Civil Association urged the CNE to guarantee the right to vote for Venezuelans who are inside and outside the country. He also warned that there is a decrease in the number of voters

The Civil Association join warned that in the country there is a decrease in the number of registered Electoral Registry (RE) inside and outside the national territoryso he urged the National Electoral Council (CNE) to guarantee the right to vote for all people.

Through its Twitter account, the organization highlighted that “according to statistical tables of the last six cuts of the Electoral Registry (…), there is a decrease in the number of voters inside and outside the country,” which is why they point out that “the CNE has not guaranteed that (the RE) is continuous or efficient.

According to the data managed by the organization, by July 15, 2021 there were a total of 21,267,813 registered in the official CNE data. However, the last cut of the electoral body, as of September 30, 2022, reported a total of 21,094,629 registered.

“In the statistical tables of the Electoral Registry cuts between July 15, 2021 to September 30, 2022, it can be seen that the number of voters has been decreasing progressively,” he denounced.

Given this, Súmate recalled that the CNE must bring RE points closer “to all Venezuelans who need to register or update data inside and outside the country”, now more taking into account that the presidential elections are expected to take place in 2024, elections that the leader of the Venezuelan regime, Nicolás Maduro, has indicated that he will be present.
