The seventh edition of the most important music festival in the Caribbean Isle of Light exceeded the expectations of those present, with a staging that included the participation of a mixture of established and emerging artists.

The festival, which took place in the characteristic Punta Torrecillas Lighthouseopened its doors at 2 in the afternoon, where hundreds of visitors were able to enjoy the various facilities of the place, spaces to take photos and its impressive neon lights that illuminated the palm trees.

It was a space that united the fans of this alternative style, the visitors dazzled with their outfits allusive to the occasion, hairstyles and makeup.

The event had a varied musical offer that included genres such as indie, rock and urban, to electronic and tropical, which allowed for greater diversity and acceptance among the public.

This time, with three scenarios: Isle Of Light, Mishu Music and Radio Bizarro20 performers paraded presenting their repertoires accompanied by their band completely live.

ISLE OF LIGHT SCENARIO

From the Isle of Light stage, Yasser Tejada in the “Amor Arrayano” style, he put the entire audience into tune with the chorus of his song “Our roots”. In addition, she paid tribute to the commemoration of International Women’s Day, with her song “You’re beautiful” and “The Early Morning Sun”.

Yasser and Alex were not the only artists who managed to connect with the public from the Isle of Lights stage. The Venezuelan band winner of two Latin Grammys “Los Amigos invisibles”played his greatest hits as “Lies”, “I will live for you”, “The one I like”, “Put you on four”and “My neighbor”they activated the energy of the public that danced, sang and jumped each one of their songs.

The fans of the British band, Alt-Jone of the main attractions of the Isle of Light booth, enjoyed the biggest songs, including “Breezeblocks” and “Left Hand Free” which enveloped the audience in a hypnotic atmosphere.

The Dominican artist Nikola made his debut in Isle of Light, captivating audiences with outstanding performances by “wave of the sea”, “Wishing you” and “Brave Cane”, the latter a collaboration with Pahua. During their performance, the dancers moved to the beat of the lyrics, bringing the songs to life and creating an impressive visual spectacle that surprised and moved the audience.

This scenario was very diverse, it opened with the Caribbean rhythms of Colao and ended up vibrating with the electrifying mixes of the British DJ Maya Janes Colescreating the union between the rhythms of reggae and indie rock.

MISHU MUSIC STAGE

British musical duo Frank Moodytook those present into an atmosphere of the old west with his electronic music and visual effects, in songs like his most recent album “Here comes the drop” and the not so recent as dopamine.

One of the most anticipated of the night was the singer, rapper and composer Nikki Nicole, who with his performance demonstrated why he has become an influential figure in urban music and in the Argentine music scene.

The artist’s presentation began with her song “Cold”, accompanied by a futuristic audiovisual that prepared the ground for an exciting and dynamic show. Continuing in the same vein, Niki Nicole played “Part of me” in front of an open starry sky that combined perfectly with the background of the audiovisual, creating an enveloping atmosphere.

It was during his performance of “Another night”, his popular collaboration with the Mexican group Ángeles Azules, when the energy of the place was activated. During her presentation, she invited a photographer and countryman to the stage to dance to the rhythm of cumbia. At the end of the song, Niki took a selfie with the countryman, creating a memorable moment for both.

In addition to “Otra noche”, he also performed some of his most popular hits such as the remix “She is not yours” with Myke Towers and the Dominican artist Rochy RD, getting the crowd to sing along to each of the lyrics. she also played “Marisola”where fans sang and danced to the rhythm of the choreography that has become popular on the Tiktok platform.

The French duo, Polo & Breadelectrified the public with their biggest hits “Canopy” and “Feel Good” They kept the energy of the place high. In addition, they offered a visual spectacle, using geometric and minimalist shapes to create a unique experience with the combination of electronic and tropical sounds.

RADIO BIZARRE STAGE

On the Bizarro stage, the local essence was also present, with two artists representing the Dominican Republic from international lands. yendry He had an emotional and special encounter with his Dominican audience, as it was the first time he had performed in his native country and in front of his family, and he did it in style. He dedicated his presentation to his family and his beloved sector of Herrera. He played “Kiki”, “It’s over”which is a collaboration with Mozart La Para and the acclaimed “Chick”. Of the latter, she shared the story behind her lyrics.

“Don’t make me cry. This is the first time I sing at home and in front of my family… If you know Nena’s story, it’s my mom’s story. Nena talks about a mother who sends a blessing to her daughter, being far away from her, and I think it’s a story that many of us know. Another interpreter who is also doing her thing, raising the tricolor flag from Mexico, is “The Change” who exposed his alternative and diverse commitment from the Bizarro stage, interpreting hits such as “Crazy hour”, “Santo Domingo” and “ibiza”.

The schedules were also very punctual, each artist appeared at the time indicated by the line up, something that was recognized and applauded by the attendees. “The line up has been respected, that has been the best”, said one of the festival goers.

The weather also played its part. the diference of the last year, in which for climatic reasons the festival had to end at the wrong time. This edition was able to conclude satisfactorily and without problems, offering another memorable year, full of good vibes and its lights that illuminated the characteristic symbol of this festival, the Punta de Torrecillas Lighthouse.
