The former Minister of Public Works Juan Carlos Garcia (PL) joined the discontent of the community in which he is a member, the Liberal Party (PL), after the change of cabinet -made by the President gabriel boric on Friday – that removed him from his post. Let us remember that García was the only minister the PL had. His removal caused discomfort in the party. In fact, the National Council of the community requested the resignation of its president, Patrick Morales, who finally resigned on Saturday. Subsequently, the interim helmsman of the PL, Juan Carlos Urzuaaccused “humiliation” and noted that the “reward for loyalty has been to be left out.”

García reiterated that his removal is not a “betrayal”, but “it will force the restoration of trust with the party in a way that does not rest only on the personal relations of the President with the president of the Chamber, Vlado Mirosevicand with the former president of the party Patricio Morales, but more institutional relations”.

And that loyalty, which continues to remain, will require building other dialogue relationships. I believe that the President trusts and rests on the loyalty of the Liberal Party, but that it will be important to take it up again now in a different way”.
