The first International Cannabis and Hemp Summit will be held in Mar del Plata

The first International Cannabis and Hemp Summit will take place next month in the city of Mar del Plataorganized by the Argentine Cannabis Confederation (CCA)

The event will bring together officials, industrialists, SMEs and federal organizations from the local and international sphere.

The summit will take place at the NH Gran Hotel Provincial between April 7 and 9, within the framework of the second edition of the Cannabis & Hemp Expoindustria.

In addition, a business conference is scheduled for April 8 where investors, international research institutions and Argentine SMEs will participate with exclusive talks to present their businesses, in order to generate investments at the regional, national and international levels.

This event has the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, the National Service for Food Health and Quality (Senasa) and the National Institute of Seeds (Inase).

It also has the support of the Argentine Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME), the Regulatory Agency for the Hemp Industry and Medicinal Cannabis (Ariccame) and the National University of Mar del Plata (Unmdp) through its faculties of Sciences. Exact and Natural Sciences, Economic Sciences, and Engineering, as well as the Center for Economic and Territorial Development (Cedet).

For the summit, the participation of Francisco Echarren, president of Ariccame; Gabriel Giménez, by Ariccame and Inase; María Apólito, former Undersecretary of Knowledge Economy; María Laura Sandoval, specialist in cannabis and hemp business; and Alejandro Bucciarelli, researcher at the Universidad Nacional del Sur and co-founder of Reprocann); among others.

Silvana Colman, researcher and teacher at Unmdp; Diego Félix, from the Mar del Plata Chamber of Cannabis; Mike Bifari, regional cannabis and hemp benchmark, among other benchmarks in Argentina and countries such as Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Ecuador and the United States.

“The institutions that are part of the event usually point out that society demands effective regulation of the industrial uses of hemp, as well as therapeutic cannabis, and that public and private organizations must act together for the development of this brand new industry”pointed out Leandro Ayala, president of the CCA.
