Three satellite internet antennas are installed in the Yanomami area

Telebras completed the installation of three fixed satellite broadband connection antennas in the Yanomami Indigenous Land, in Roraima. The equipment, which runs on solar energy, is at the base poles of Surucucu, Auaris and the Catrimani Mission, and is added to the other 17 antennas portable devices that have already been sent to support medical care for the population and strengthen actions to face the public health emergency situation, according to the Ministry of Communications.Three satellite internet antennas are installed in the Yanomami area

The antenna communicates directly with the Defense and Strategic Communications Geostationary Satellite (SGDC), at a download transmission rate of 20 Mbps and an upload rate of 2 Mbps. A modem that ensures connection to cell phones and computers comes with the antenna, which is 76 cm in diameter. Since January, according to the federal government, a total of 395 antennas have been delivered across the country.
