Every week the Secretary of Public Finance in the DOF the quotas of IEPS Federal, by type of fuel, based on the prices in the global oil market, and of gasoline and diesel in the United States, the main supplier of fuels of Mexico.
These quotas are higher, but the Treasury grants a subsidy or discount to the IEPS quotas, if the price of fuels rises, if the price of fuels falls, the Treasury reduces the discount. For this week the discounts are higher by granting one of 42.7% for the green, and 18.13% for the red
The IEPS fee increased for the diesel; went from 3.40 pesos per liter for the week that is about to end, to 3.65 pesos per liter for the week of March 11-17.
