Aymée Nuviola will close the Miami Carnival this Sunday

MADRID, Spain.- The Miami Carnival 2023, which takes place during these days, will have one of its great moments this weekend with the presentation of the Cuban singer Aymée Nuviola, queen of the current edition of the carnival.

Nuviola will perform this Sunday, during the closing ceremony, on the iconic Calle Ocho in Miami, and will perform songs by the great Celia Cruz such as “Bemba Colorá”, “Burundanga” and “La vida es un carnaval”. Besides. she will interpret “Pan para Yolanda”, a song dedicated to Cuba and that she premiered a few months ago with the Spanish singer-songwriter Melendi.

Before the start of these festivities, the Miami Carnival said from her Instagram account: “We are proud to announce Grammy Award-winning musical artist Aymée Nuviola as our 2023 Miami Carnival Queen. Aymée is a multi-Grammy Award-winning singer, musician, and songwriter. Her sound is influenced by the classical, American jazz, bossa nova, son cubano, bolero and filin genres. You may also know her from the Colombian telenovela Celia, where she played Celia Cruz”.

For his part, Nuviola thanked: “It is an honor to be the Queen of Carnival Miami 2023! Thanks to the Miami Carnival and Kiwanis Of Little Havana for this recognition! I will be performing on the Telemundo stage at Calle Ocho on Sunday, March 12!”
