He credit portfolio balance for women in multiple banking has registered an increase of 11.5% during the last six years, amounting to an amount of RD$250,303 million, a figure that is still below the credit directed to men (RD$418,727 million).
However, the Multiple Bank Association of the Dominican Republic (ABA) indicated that, during this period, the credit granted to women has experienced an average annual growth of 11.5%, which is higher than the increase registered in men (10.2%).

Thanks to this, the participation of women in the total portfolio it went from 35.9% in 2016 to 37.4% in 2022, he said.
Meanwhile, the ABA pointed out that the number of savings accounts in the name of women went from 5.2 million in 2016 to 6.1 million in 2022, which represents cumulative growth of 17 percent.
