The Minister of the Interior, Eduardo `Wado` de Pedro, said that it is “another day of persecution” after they met the fundamentals in the road case and warned that “the level of putrefaction and promiscuity in sectors of the Judiciary is already very harmful for all of Argentina.”

“Today for us is another day of persecution. It is another day where the Judiciary once again demonstrates the disciplinary role it is fulfilling. Every electoral year there are sectors of justice that start campaigning and replace the Penal Code with the Electoral Code “De Pedro said in statements to AM 750.

The Federal Oral Court 2 announced this Thursday the grounds on which it sentenced Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner to six years in prison for alleged fraudulent administration and acquitted her along with the other defendants for the crime of illicit association, by end of a trial in the so-called “Road Cause”, in which she was also disqualified from holding public office.

“What once were the coups d’etat or the use of the armed forces to discipline the political forces, today they do so through the media and sectors of the Judiciary,” warned De Pedro.

And I add: “The opposition takes advantage of the partiality of the media to position itself and win elections. It is an issue that should call for reflection. The level of putrefaction and promiscuity in sectors of the Judiciary is already very harmful for all of Argentina”.

In this context, the head of the political portfolio maintained that “it is striking” that the fundamentals are known on March 9, recalling that on that date in 1956 it was when “a stage of proscription” was entered in Argentina. in reference to the decree that banned former President Juan Domingo Perón.

“They based an inexplicable ruling that was already written in advance. The foundations are those given by the Clarín newspaper for more than 15 years. Today sectors of the judiciary have accommodated the penal and procedural code to those fifteen years,” the minister remarked.

On the other hand, in the same interview, De Pedro came out to respond to the repercussions generated in some sectors by his participation in the dinner on the opening day of Expoagro last Monday in the Buenos Aires town of San Nicolás.

In this sense, the Minister of the Interior considered that it is not necessary to “stop participating” in the meetings organized by sectors that have “a lot to do” with Peronism -in reference to the countryside- and assured that he “does not” do “politics with the photos.”

“I am always and I will continue on the same side; a photo does not change me. I do not do politics with photos. You must not stop participating in some spaces because there are certain actors who can appropriate sectors that have a lot to do with Peronism “, said De Pedro in his dialogue with AM 750.

In this sense, when referring to an image spread about his participation in the dinner together with directors of Grupo Clarín and the newspaper La Nación, among others, the holder of the political portfolio assured that it was “a casual photo” in the framework of a meeting with “400 businessmen”.

In addition, he stressed that this sample, which is held once a year, is one of “the most important” in agriculture. “The agricultural sector, except for small groups of concentrated economies, had a very bad time with Cambiemos (today Together for Change). If I have to go to Expoagro, I will go,” he remarked.

The minister affirmed that he understands “very well the damage that Clarín did” to Argentina and maintained that, in fact, he is “the main opponent” that Peronism currently has. “In each Peronist election, Clarín acts as the campaign manager for all the parties that oppose us,” he added.

In this context, he pointed out: “The photo also made noise for me personally and, therefore, I have empathy with the colleagues who felt upset,” De Pedro said in the interview he gave this morning.
