The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, receives this Wednesday in Office 1 of the Miraflores Palace, Celso Amorim, head of the Special Advisory Office of the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
Celso Amorim, is a career diplomat from the South American nation who has served as Minister of Foreign Affairs on two occasions. For the first time, between 1993 and 1994, and for the second time during the Lula da Silva Presidency between 2003 and 2010, he refers to a Presidential Press release.
During the presidential campaign he was the main adviser on international affairs to the leader of the Workers’ Party.
He was also Ambassador of Brazil to the United Kingdom from 2001 to 2002 and Permanent Representative of Brazil to the United Nations (UN) from 1995 to 1999.
With the arrival of Lula to the presidency of Brazil, in January Venezuela resumed diplomatic relations and bilateral cooperation, in order to promote and establish agreements in favor of both nations.
In this sense, the Venezuelan Head of State has stressed that a new multipolar order is being imposed in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“A new liberating wave runs through the Patria Grande, opening paths of geopolitical advancement for South American union projects. Our hug to Lula and the Brazilian people! ”, He expressed through a message broadcast on his official account on the social network Twitter @NicolasMaduro, when celebrating the assumption of power of his Brazilian counterpart.
