Paraguayan Cubas criticized the organization of the presidential debate, for taking into account only two candidates and excluding the rest. The event was suspended and received questions from those who were not invited.
“All the candidates have to be in the debates, I always accept all the invitations. If I accept, the others do not accept, but I don’t give a damn if they invite me or not, those (the organizers) are not even going to vote,” said former senator Paraguayo Cubas, in a conversation with Universo-Nación Media radio.
He recalled that this same group organized the 2013 debate, when they invited four presidential candidates: Mario Ferreiro, Miguel Carrizosa, Efrain Alegre and Horacio Cartes.

For his part, Euclides Acevedo also questioned the exclusion. “Let the Dende stop fucking around, they only invite two candidates to debate, that’s not right, of course we’ll be there if they invite us,” he said.

Peña confirmed his participation, but He requested that Euclides Acevedo and Paraguayo Cubas also be included, that is, four in total. “I asked for a debate in which at least the four best positioned candidates participate. In some departments, these candidates surpass the intention of the PLRA in votes, however, they were not taken into account to expose their proposals on television.
