Migrations issued an immigration alert yesterday against former Prime Minister Betssy Chávez and former Ministers Willy Huerta and Roberto Sánchez, after the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations of Congress approve accusing them as instigators of the coup d’état of December 7.
The decision was announced by the Avanza País congresswoman, Patricia Chirinos, who had asked the entity to adopt this measure.
The general manager of Migrations, Hialmer Ordinola Calle, pointed out in the official letter sent to Chirinos that the alert has been registered in the system so that the border control posts warn of any attempt to leave the country by those investigated.
The Subcommission report concluded that the three former ministers and former President Pedro Castillo had agreed to dissolve Congress and implement a state of emergency in Peru.
After Castillo’s message to the Nation, former adviser Aníbal Torres and Betssy Chávez stopped by to greet Castillo, according to the report. At that time, the report indicates, the former president was with the then Minister of the Interior, Willy Huerta. Later, the former Minister of Foreign Trade and current legislator, Roberto Sánchez, entered the office, who would have greeted him and said “for the country.”
But that is not all that happened, according to the document, because Huerta would have communicated with the police commander so that he receives the order from Pedro Castillo to close the Congress.
The approved report will be reviewed by the Permanent Commission. If it is approved there, it will be sent to the Plenary of Congress for its final vote.
