Maduro: The feminist socialism of the 21st century is the legacy of Hugo Chávez

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed this Wednesday that the idea of ​​feminist socialism of the 21st century became the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez.

In statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the Venezuelan head of state stressed the need for a large women’s movement to be at the forefront of the social and political changes that the country needs.

“The feminist socialism of the 21st century is the legacy of Hugo Chávez, because women have to take the lead in life, in the family, in the community,” said the National President from the Poliedro de Caracas.

“You have to be at the forefront of the great social, political and democratic changes in society, and that is why we want a powerful women’s movement, a powerful movement that is at the forefront that marks the changes that Venezuelan society needs to prosper, to make our Bolivarian homeland better”, he added.

On the other hand, he recalled that, 10 years ago, on March 8, 2013; It was his first oath as president in charge of the country, after the physical departure of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.

“A day like today I was sworn in as President in Charge of the Republic. 10 years of that oath, in which I assumed the force and the cause of Commander Chávez ”, he stressed.

In this regard, he stated that, with that oath, he fulfilled his commitment to Commander Chávez, who ordered him to be at the forefront of the struggle for a free and sovereign homeland.

“On Women’s Day I became president for the first time, it is a brand that I have that I have. 10 years later, here we are victorious, advancing towards the Venezuela of prosperity, of growth, ”she added.

During his speech at the Poliedro de Caracas, President Maduro reiterated the importance of “empowering women” and working to strengthen their rights.

“The only way for us to build dignified, respected women, and women who have a happy life, in a society of equals, between men and women, is for us to empower women from the womb, empower women, empower them with knowledge , the power of values, of life, giving power to women”, she emphasized.
