A 23-year-old young man, who allegedly murdered his 41-year-old mother and injured a person with a knife, in the district of La Chorrera, was provisionally detained.
The judge of guarantees of the province of Panama Oeste, Manuel Sánchez, decreed as a personal precautionary measure the provisional detention of this citizen for crimes against life and personal integrity in the modalities of femicide and attempted homicide.
After listening to the arguments of the interveners, the judge based his decision on the nature of the event, coupled with the procedural risks of flight risk, danger of affecting evidence, and danger to the community.
Previously, he legalized the apprehension and considered the formulation of charges filed.
It was learned that the judicial authorities requested a psychological evaluation for the apprehended.
