Official: Pekerman stops being coach of Venezuela

The Venezuelan Football Federation has made official this Wednesday the dismissal of Jose Pekerman as head of the red wine combo.

The exit of the Argentine coach was an open secret, pending the official announcement, which arrived this Wednesday. The resolution puts an end to a hard fight between Pekerman and the Federation, whom the technician accused of having breached various clauses of his contract.

The Argentine was hired in November 2021 and leaves with a record of five wins, one draw and four losses.

The Federation announcement includes Pascual Lezcanojournalist and football agent of the highest confidence of the former coach, who would have presented certain unjustified expenses, according to various information; Lezcano was director of selections.
